Forty years of Camp Y.E.S.
Camp Y.E.S. (Youth Excited about Salvation) began in 1985 as a ministry of New Testament Baptist Church in Hamilton, Ontario.
Pastor Doug McClain grew up going to Christian camp, first as a camper, then as a volunteer, and later as a counsellor. Camp shaped his own walk with the Lord, and he hoped one day to give other young people the same opportunity.
That hope became Camp Y.E.S. In 2025 the camp marked its fortieth year. To God be the glory!
What "camp" means to us
A Concentrated Atmosphere Majoring on Preaching
In an ordinary week, a young person might hear about ten hours of Bible teaching, squeezed between school, entertainment and everything else. At Camp Y.E.S. that becomes about twenty-three hours, nearly a third of their waking time, away from the usual distractions and with room for God to work in their heart.
